Engage

How often should I email my list?

As often as makes sense for you.

Sorry if you were hoping for a magical number.

Some people email every day.

Some email a couple of times a week.

Some once a week.

Twice a month.

Once a month.

All of those can work.

Personally, I like a much simpler rule:

Send something when you have something good to say.

I don't want to send an email on Tuesday because some marketing guru told me Tuesday is Email Day™.

Equally, if I've got something genuinely interesting to say three days in a row, I'm not going to avoid emailing because I've already hit my imaginary weekly quota.

Once someone has gone through my initial Immersion Series, I'm much more interested in maintaining the relationship than hitting an arbitrary frequency.

That's true of most of what I teach about email.

I don't particularly like rigid structures.

I'll give you the principles and strategy.

How you implement them should suit you, your business and your audience.

Want to email daily?

Go for it.

Want to send one really good newsletter every couple of weeks?

Also fine.

The important thing isn't whether you emailed exactly four times this month.

It's whether people still want the next one.
